Texas Renaissance Festival (Plantersville)
For eight weekends spanning October through November knights and fairies come alive deep in the woods outside of Plantersville Texas.
This is your chance to step into a world of fantasy and enjoy hundreds of shows, shop at one of a kind shops, and eat foods from afar while downing your ale or meade.
Beware the dragons and centaurs as you wind your way through this medieval city discovering sights and sounds you never knew existed. There are two ways to enjoy the festival.
You can come dressed as you are in the 21st century and recieve a lot of attention from the "players" and shop keepers that hawk their wares, or if you are feeling a little brave,
come dressed up in your favorite 16th century garb or as one of your favorite fantasy characters. Though there are many activities for kids, this is not always a kid friendly place and you will be forewarned to remove your children if you are attending a show that is not appropriate. If this were a
movie it may receive a PG-13 rating. There are a lot of skimpy costumes and adult slanted humor to be found and then again, there is a lot of magic for children as well. If you've never been to the faire, you are missing out on yet another great entertainment
opportunity here in the Greater East Texas area.
