Rusk State Park (Rusk)

Rusk State Park, located outside of Rusk Texas, is unique in that it offers visitors the opportunity to ride one of four antique diesel locomotives that travel from the Texas State Railroad Rusk depot to the Palestine depot. The rides take approximately four and a half hours and go through the Piney Woods of East Texas and some of the small towns along the way. Hurry up and visit this this park. Plans are underway to create a lake to be used for drinking water for Dallas. This park may be submerged if plans move forward.
