Country Cottage Potatoes

2 Pounds frozen hash brown potatoes 1/2 cup butter 1 can cream of chicken soup 2 cups grated Cheddar cheese 1/2 cup chopped green onion 1 cup sour cream French's or Durkee's french fried onions Mix first six ingredients and put in large,greased casserole dish.Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes...remove from oven and add as much french fried onions as you like to top of casserole...put back in oven for 15 minutes more This dish is brought to pot luck and family get togethers...and always a hit Submitted by: motherearth Date: 6/6/2006
